On June 19, 2025, the Tsinghua University African Students Association (THUASA) participated in an enriching visit to the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) headquarters in Beijing, China. The visit provided a unique opportunity for Tsinghua students to engage with AIIB’s mission of financing sustainable infrastructure and fostering global development. The event included an insightful presentation, a Q&A session, and a guided tour of the AIIB headquarters in Beijing. This visit was organized in collaboration with the Students Association of Belt and Road Initiatives (SABRI) and with support from Tsinghua Global Youth Dialogue (TGYD). On May 25, 2025, the Tsinghua University African Students Association (THUASA) proudly hosted the 2025 Africa Day Celebration event at the prestigious Schwarzman College, Tsinghua University. The event was held under the theme, “AI in Governance: Enhancing Public Services and Transparency in African Countries.” The gathering brought together distinguished scholars, professionals, students, and experts from across Africa and beyond to explore the transformative role of artificial intelligence in governance, with a particular focus on its potential to improve public services, efficiency, and transparency across African nations. The event was also enhanced by captivating musical and cultural performances from talented Tsinghua students, as well as students from across Beijing. On April 7, 2025, THUASA members attended Kwibuka 31 at the Embassy of Rwanda in Beijing. This event marked the 31st commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Kwibuka means "to remember."
